ANNVILLE, Pa. – Even though they are not even three days removed from their season opener at Bloomsburg University, the Lion swimmers dominated the water to record their first Middle Atlantic Conference wins. The men's team (1-1/1-0 MAC) defeated LVC by the final score of 113-84, while the women's team (1-1/1-0 MAC) handed the Dutchmen a 117-84 decision Tuesday evening at the Arnold Sports Center.
To start off the evening, the red and white swept the 200 medley relay. On the women's side #

In the 800 free #Becky Strawbridge# and #
Connor Unger# both placed second with times of 11:19.63 and 10:35.53 respectively. There finishes pave the way for a combined 14 first place finishes throughout Tuesday's meet.

Aimee Snyder# swam away with a first place finish in the 200 free with a time of 2:17.86. In the men's 200 free #
Mike McBride# recorded his first collegiate win with a final time of 2:09.16. The women's 50 free saw Janowiak swim away with the win and a time of 28.32 seconds.

Katy Oeste# and sophomore #
Adam Kurtz# recorded first place finishes in the 200 IM to add to Albright's lead. Oeste finished the event with a time of 2:38.69, while Kurtz recorded a final time of 2:24.01. Snyder returned to the water for the 100 fly event. The junior took recorded her second top finish with a time of 1:13.02.
The men's 100 fly belonged to Sheerer who swam away with a time of 1:03.36. From there Janowiak and #
Eric Kramer# each recorded the top times in the 100 free. #
Allie Fies# and Thomas were the next duo to record wins, this time in the 100 back.

Sean Spellacy# and Oeste each recorded a first place finish to close out individual competition. Lebanon Valley would take the women's 200 free relay, but it was the Albright men who closed out the evening with the relay win.
Swimming will make their home debut this Saturday when they host Lycoming College at noon in the Natatorium.
