ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Sophomore center
Derek Hall recorded his first double-double of the season with 16 points and 13 rebounds as the Lions (16-4/7-3 CC) dropped their second straight conference game, falling to the host Blue Jays of Elizabethtown College (14-6/6-4 CC) by the final score of 74-67 in Thompson Gymnasium.
With Sunday's loss the Lions move back into a tie for first place in the conference standings with Lycoming College. For the Blue Jays their win over Albright has pushed them into third place overall, while Alvernia University and Messiah College remained third for fourth place with a 5-4 record.

Zac Shaeffer led the Lions and the contest with 18 points on a 6-for-18 showing from the field, which included one three-point basket. At the line the Lampeter native was a perfect 5-for-5. Hall's 16 points were the results of his 7-for-11 performance from the floor, and 2-for-3 showing at the charity strip.
Ten of Hall's 13 boards were on the defensive side of the ball, both of which were game-highs. Elizabethtown had three players finish in double-figures, with Mike Church earning a double-double of his own with 10 rebounds and 11 points.
Keith Fogel matched Shaeffer's game-high performance and Joe Flanagan finished second on the team in scoring with 14 points.
As a team the Blue Jays led the contest in all three offensive categories shooting 47.3% from the field (26-55), 36.8% from behind the arc (7-19), and 75% from the line (15-20). Albright led Thompson Gymnasium having shot 38.5% from the floor (25-65), 26.9% from three-point land (7-26), and 71.4% at the charity strip (10-14).
With the exception of the opening minutes of the second half, Elizabethtown controlled the momentum throughout Sunday's contest. After falling behind at the midway point of the final half, Albright nearly mounted another stellar comeback, but was unable to retake the lead in the final minutes.
Men's Basketball returns to action on Wednesday when they host Arcadia University at 8 p.m. in the Bollman Center.
