READING, Pa. - In another tough Commonwealth Conference match, the Men's Tennis team (0-8/0-5 CC) fell to the visiting Dutchmen of Lebanon Valley College (8-5/3-2 CC) by the final score of 9-0 Thursday afternoon on the Albright Tennis Courts.
The Dutchmen, who won last year's Commonwealth Conference championship made quick work of the Lions in doubles play taking an 8-0 and two 8-1 decisions over the Lions.
In singles play, Ethan Grodzinski battled it out with freshman #
Kenneth Ip# at the number one spot. Grodzinkski went on to defeat Ip by the scores of 6-3, 6-0.
After taking the next four singles matches in order, #
Adam Stamm# gave his Dutchmen opponent a real run for his money in the number six spot. After falling 6-0 in the first set, Stamm battled back and tied Matt Garber 6-6 in set number two. The two would then move into the tie-breaker set, which Garber took with a 7-2 win.
Men's Tennis returns to action on Saturday when they travel to Lycoming College for their final Commonwealth Conference match of the season. Start time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
