Day 1 Results
CHESTER, Pa. – After just the first day of competition at the Outdoor Middle Atlantic Conference Championship meet, the Lady Lions 4x800 relay team of
Danielle DiPietro,
Kim Hummel,
Erika Snyder, and
Gabby Stine set a new program record with a time of 10:35.30 to place fifth in the event Thursday afternoon.
With their fifth place finish the four distance runners earned their first Second Team All-Conference honors of the three-day championship meet. The men's 4x800 relay team also had solid showing on Thursday finishing seventh overall with a time of 8:44.50.
In the throwing circle, freshman
Lindsay Boyd placed 12th in the hammer throw with a toss of 99-06 feet, which was a new personal best for the Marlton, NJ native. For the men's team,
Robert Baldwin placed 10th in the hammer with a throw of 125-04 feet.
Track and Field will return to action tomorrow morning for day two of the conference championship meet.
