WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Men's and women's track and field competed over the last two days at the Bill Butler Invitational hosted by West Chester University.
Evan Eisenhardt won the steeplechase and
Maizy Aikey finished second in the 5000m on Friday afternoon.
RESULTS
Men's Results:
Eisenhardt won the stepplechase beating out eight total runners in the race. Eisenhardt won the event with a time of 10:35.65 which was nearly eight seconds faster than the second-place finisher.
In the 400m dash
Tyhee Pridgen took 6
th in event with a time of 50.85. A total of 40 runners were entered in the event along with multiple runners from Division I and II institutions. Additionally, Pridgen's time qualifies him for the MAC Championships later this spring.
Beyah Rembert Jr. qualified for the 100m finals with a strong time of 11.19 which was good for a personal best time for Rembert Jr. Rembert Jr. followed with another strong time in the 200m finishing in 22.89 which was good for a new personal best and good for a MAC qualifying standard.
Reggie Hamlett,
Yasim Price and
Schneider Sauveur all competed in the discuss. Hamlett finished with a best throw of 27.35m placing him in 14
th in the event. Price reached a distance of 22.72m and was followed by Sauveur who reached a distance of 16.11m.
Women's Results:
Aikey turned in a personal best time in the 5000m to take second in the event. Aikey's time of 19:35.11 was faster than 14 runners in the heat and was a better time than three runners competing with Division I or II institutions.
In the 800m Albright was represented by Aikey and
Aniya Davis who finished in succession of each other. Aikey finished in 2:43.52 and was followed by Davis who turned in a personal best time of 2:44.65.
In the 200m Albright saw two of the three Lions in the race turn in season best and personal best times.
Standey Sauveur recorded a time of 29.50 which marked a new personal best.
Ava Ramlochan finished in 30.40 and
Julia Parmelee in 30.66 which was good for a season best time.
In the discuss,
Rayne Edwards reached a distance of 22.09m.
