Coach Monahan talks about her teams huge win over Richard Stockton (35 seconds)

READING, Pa. – For the second time this week the senior duo #Gia Boscola# and #Caitlin Feldman# combined to lead Albright Field Hockey (2-2) to another huge win, this time defeating Richard Stockton College (0-4) by the final score of 1-0 Saturday afternoon at Shirk Stadium.

With 17 minutes to play in regulation, Feldman received a long pass from the Lions defense. After pushing the ball forward, Feldman saw her teammate making a run behind the Ospreys' defense. She then sent a long pass which landed right on Boscola's stick. From there the senior forward one-timed it pass Stockton's goalie into the far corner of the cage.

The go-ahead goal would hold for the final minutes of the contest, as the Lady Lions defense led by #Madison Bailey#, #Briana Taylor#, and #Marguerite DeLucas# neutralized the Ospreys' last minute attempts to equalize the game.

On the afternoon, Albright recorded a total of 12 shots, while Stockton was able to record 10 of their own. Osprey netminder Debi O'Kane came up with nine saves and played extremely well for her squad.

DeLucas, who earned her first collegiate shutout Saturday afternoon recorded five stops in the win, her second straight. In the penalty corners column both teams were nearly even, with Albright holding a one corner advantage over their New Jersey opponent (8-7).

Field Hockey returns to action on Tuesday when they host Keystone College at 7 p.m. in Shirk Stadium.
