YORK, Pa. - Against one of their toughest non-conference opponents, Field Hockey (0-2) was defeated by the Spartans of York College (1-1) by the final score of 6-0 Saturday afternoon at Kinsley Field.
Still in the hunt for their first win and first goal of the season, the Lady Lions faced a tall order taking on the Spartans. York wasted little time taking control of the contest, scoring their first three goals of the afternoon in the first 20 minutes of play.
On the day, Albright trailed York in the shots column 20-4, but led their non-conference opponents in penalty corners 5-4.

Marguerite DeLucas# posted nine saves in her second collegiate start, and faced a combined 15 shots on goal from the Spartans offense. The Lady Lions lone shot on target came from senior forward #
Gia Boscola#, who also had three of the red and white's four shots.
After the halftime intermission, York was held scoreless until the 43rd minute. From there, they would then tack on their fifth goal in the 49th and 52nd minutes.
Field Hockey will next travel to Immaculata University on Wednesday for a 4 p.m. non-conference match.
