Down by three points early in the day to Alvernia, the Albright College men's golf team rallied back to win four of the final five singles points and seize its five consecutive Yocum Cup in thrilling fashion.

Alvernia's Tim Pici eagled the opening hole of the second match and played lights out all match, beating Avery Jones 6-and-5 and putting his team ahead 3.5-0.5.

The opening pairing of the day soon went Albright's way however as Erik Thorn defeated Casey Osborne 2-and-1, inspiring a comeback reminiscent of team USA at the 1999 Ryder Cup.

Steve Werst continued his undefeated Yocum career, beating Bobby Ranken 4-and-3, and Sal Capelli and Payne Baust secured the necessary points by taking their singles matchups as well.

The teams ended in a 4.5-4.5 tie but Albright will retain the cup as defending champion.
