READING, Pa. – In a head-to-head match, men's golf recorded a strong finish as they defeated Eastern University by the final score of 322-378 Monday afternoon at the Berkshire Country Club.
Leading Albright was
Steve Werst, who finished the match with a final score of 79 (+7). After him it was
Payne Baust and
Drew Reich who each recorded an 80 (+8) to finish tied for second. In fourth was
Erik Thorn with his final score of 83 (+4).
Brody Blessing's 88 (+16) put him in fifth place, ahead of Eastern's Josh Reid. Reid led his team with a final score of 90 (+18).
Nicholas Behney finished tied for seventh with a 92 (+20).
Men's golf returns to action next Monday when they take part in the Franklin and Marshall College Invitational, which is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m.
