READING, Pa. – Despite another valiant effort, men's tennis (0-6/0-4 Commonwealth) was handed a 9-0 conference loss by Lebanon Valley College (8-8/2-2 Commonwealth) Friday afternoon on the Albright Tennis Courts.
To start off the afternoon, the Lions saw some tremendous play from the duo of
Ian Moore and
Mike Callahan at third doubles. The two went back-and-forth with the Dutchmen's Andrew Wilson and Kyle Kahl. Wilson and Kahl would eventually earn the 9-8 (9-7) victory to help their team to a 3-0 lead heading into singles play.
Kenneth Ip played another strong match at first singles but was handed a 6-3, 6-3 loss by Ethan Grodzinski. Callahan also had a tough match at the number two spot falling to Tom Neckelmann 6-3, 6-1.
Men's tennis returns to action on Monday when they host King's College at 3:30 p.m. on the Albright Tennis Courts.
