Women's Golf Wins Inaugural Conference Championship

Tournament Results

WHITE HAVEN, Pa. - Led by individual tournament champion Kaitlin Mack, the Albright women's golf team won the inaugural Middle Atlantic Conference Championship Tournament Sunday afternoon at Mt. Laurel Country Club.  First-year head coach James Yenser was named the 2011 Coach of the Year.

On the afternoon the three Lady Lion competitors recorded a team score of 179 overall.  Mack, who finished the day with a career-low 80 edged Alvernia's Paige Branch by a mere three strokes to win her first conference title.  Also competing for the red and white on Sunday was Domonique Wilcher, who finished with 99 to finish in 7th place.   Senior Dana Wilcomes finished in ninth place with a score of 110.


The top-5 finishers of Sunday's tournament earned all-conference honors.  Joining Mack and Branch was Arcadia's Shannon Massott, and Misericordia's Erin Kain and Megan Danley.
