COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Women's golf finished with a team score of 394 on Thursday afternoon finishing second of three teams at the Ursinus Spring Tournament.
Ilaria Catania,
Chole Gustafson, and
Braidan Wastler all finished inside the top five.
RESULTS
In addition to the strong play today, Gustafson delivered a rare feat on the third hole. The par three was played as good as you can by Gustafson who made a hole in one for the ace. By all accounts it is the first hole in one for Albright women's golf in at least the last 16 years.
The ace helped Gustafson shoot her lowest round of the spring season taking home a 91. The score was 27 strokes better than her pervious round this spring and good for a solo fourth finish this afternoon.
Catania led the way for Albright taking second place finishing just two strokes behind the first-place finisher. The 18 holes ended with an 88 for Catania who shaved off three strokes from her last time out.
Wastler tied for fifth on the afternoon shooting a 94. The score is 12 strokes better than her last competition appearance and was just two strokes off her best round of the 25-26 season.
Andrea Williams and
Madison Cox finished in succession with each other seeing Williams end with 121 and Cox a 122. Williams became the fourth Lion of the day to improve on last rounds score being 12 strokes better today. Cox played in her first round of the spring season this afternoon.
Stockton won the tournament with a team score of 368, Albright in second with a 394 and Eastern third shooting a 419.
