Women’s Golf Performs Well at Elizabethtown Spring Invitational

The Lions women’s golf team took to the course on Thursday afternoon competing in the Elizabethtown Spring Invitational. Albright took fifth overall.

HERSHEY, Pa. – Women's golf performed well on Thursday afternoon competing in the Elizabethtown Spring Invitational. The Lions shot a 453 to take fifth overall in the tournament. The tournament marked the first time the Lions have competed in 2026 spring season.

RESULTS

The Lions began their 2026 spring season Thursday afternoon competing at Hershey Country Club playing the east course. The course measured 5,948 and is a par 71.

Albright took fifth overall out of eight total teams in the field. Salisbury won the team title with a score of 363 and was followed by Juniata in second with a score of 424. Elizabethtown finished third with a score of 427.

Including Albright there were three total Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) teams in the field. Alvernia and Lebanon Valley did not qualify for the team leader board.

Ilaria Catania paced the Lions with a round of 93 to finish inside the top 10. Braidan Wastler shot a 106 and was followed by Chloe Gustafson who shot a 118 making her Albright debut.

Andrea Williams and Madison Cox finished in succession of each other on the leader board having rounds of 136 and 146, respectively.
 
Up Next:
Albright will head to Collegeville, Pa. for their next event, competing in the Ursinus Invitational. The tournament will be played at Turtle Creek Golf Club.
