Women’s Golf Competes on Day One of the MAC Championships

The Lions women’s golf team took to the course on Saturday afternoon competing on day one of the 2026 MAC Women’s Golf Championships.

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Women's golf opened play at the 2026 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Women's Golf Championships on Saturday afternoon at Berkleigh Golf Club. The Lions finished with a day one score of 463. Illaria Catania finished in a tie for 8th after day one.

RESULTS

Albright is represented by Andrea Williams, Chloe Gustafson, Madison Cox and Catania. For everyone except Catania it marks their first time competing in the MAC Championships.

Catania ended the 18-holes with a score of 86 playing a steady round of golf. Catania will enter tomorrow afternoon looking to become a two-time All-MAC selection. In 2024, Catania made All-MAC First Team.

To earn All-MAC honors you need to finish inside the top 10 including ties. Golfers that finish 1-5 earn All-MAC First Team honors while golfers that finish 6-10 earn All-MAC Second Team.

Gustafson finished with a round of 111 and was followed by Cox with a 129 and Williams with a 137.

The Lions will look to improve on their team standing sitting a few strokes shy of FDU-Florham heading into the final 18 holes.
