The Albright College men's golf team split a season-opening tri-match at home on Monday, as three Lions shot under 80.

Albright beat local rival Alvernia 310-339 (four golfers scoring) and lost to Moravian 392-385 (five golfers scoring).

Erik Thorn and Avery Jones led the way for Albright, each shooting a 76. Payne Baust was right behind them with a 77.

Moravian's Tom Fenyak was the only golfer to beat Thorn and Jones, carding a 73.

Albright is back in action on Thursday in the Moravian Invitational.
