The Lions are set to face off against Lebanon Valley in Albright's fourth straight Commonwealth Conference matchup. Albright stumbled a bit Wednesday after facing off against cross-town rival Alvernia and losing 67-61.

The Crusaders handed Albright their fourth conference loss. Lebanon Valley is coming off a Wednesday night loss to Elizabethtown 74-61, but managed to beat Alvernia 71-64 just a few days prior. The Dutchman's home win came by way of a trounced second half comeback attempt from Alvernia and a team-high 20-point, 11 rebound performance from junior forward Danny Brooks. Brooks' performance earned him Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week honors.

Albright College (10-6 Overall, 1-4 Commonwealth Conference)

The Lions have struggled on the road in conference play, with their only league win coming at home against Elizabethtown. Sophomore Kyle Jordan has used the intensity of conference rivalry to boost his play as he's increased his field goal, three point, and free throw percentages. Jordan's improvement hasn't been limited to scoring as he's led the Lions in steals since conference play started. Better performance has been rewarded with more minutes from head coach Rick Ferry as he continues to look for the hot hand with more tough games upcoming.

Jordan and senior Derek Hall are joined by junior guard Cornell Mickens as the leading scorers for the Lions in conference play; each averages over 11 points per game. Hall had 15 points and 14 rebounds the previous time these two teams met, a 68-64 Lebanon Valley victory late last season.

When the Dutchmen come into the George C. Bollman Center on Saturday afternoon the Lions will almost certainly look to be more aggressive and get to the line. Against Alvernia they were unable to do so at all.

Lebanon Valley College (9-7 Overall, 2-3 Commonwealth Conference)

The Dutchmen have one of the premier head coaches in the Conference looking to lead them to victory yet again this season. Captained by Brad McAlester, in his 18th season has head coach, the Lebanon Valley mens basketball program has won a total of 278 games. The all-time winningest coach in Leb Val history, McAlester has made 14 trips to the postseason.

Entering in a four-way tie for fourth place in the Commonwealth Conference, a win is significant for either team's chance to keep their post season hopes alive and well. Lebanon Valley has struggled on defense and presently allows the second-most points of any team in the conference. Albright's offense (ranked third in the Commonwealth Conference) will look to score even more than they have been this season.

The Dutchmen scoring is led by junior Danny Brooks and senior Joe Meehan. Guard and team captain Meehan is averaging 17.6 points per game this season, but has had difficulty turning the ball over. On the other side of the coin Meehan leads his team in steals as well, proving only that the senior guard is always around the ball and can have a huge impact in determining the success of the Dutchmen.

Just as the Lions found a player who has stepped up and won a role in light of conference play, Leb Val has found senior forward Cameron Prince. Prince has increased his points per game by five since the start of conference play, as well as ranking second on the team in shooting beyond the arc.

The Dutchman will need excellent leadership from their head coach and seniors in order to get an away win against the Lions. Lebanon Valley has struggled on the road with five losses, which should be music to Albright's ears since they seem to play best in the annals of the Bollman Center.
