Results
The Albright College men's swimming team took the top two places in all but two individual events, beating visiting Arcadia 168-54 on Saturday.
Adam Vogel (1:51.97) and
Kyle Everson (1:54.40) started things off in the 200 free, and the Lions then went 1-2-3 in the 100 back- with
Ralph Porrazzo (54.00),
Stephen Thomas and
Dan Cahill.
Sam Rosenthal (1:04.73) and
Tyler Huizing took top placings in the 100 breast, as did
Mike McBride (22.01) and
Richard Edwards in the 50 free.
That trend continued with Matthew Runtas (50.13) beating out teammate
Alex Bauer (50.38) in the 100 free. Ricky Sutton then led a 1-2-3 sweep in the 200 back, followed by Cahill and
Thomas Wicklund.
Vogel won the 100 breast in 2:25.82, and teammate
Matt Bauer was second. Huizing took the 200 IM in 2:10.42, ahead of Thomas.
Freshman
Kyle Everson won the points in the 500 free, in 5:17.29, with
Rainer Floeter placing second. Porrazzo clocked a time of 5:05.97, but was swimming exhibition.
The Lions' dominance was only broken in the fly events, which were both won by Arcadia's
Tim Graham.
Albright improves to 4-1, and 4-0 in MAC competition; the Lions host Cabrini and former assistant
Cindy Ikeler on Thursday.
