The Albright College women's basketball team will look to complete a season sweep of Arcadia tonight in the Lions' annual Pink Zone Breast Cancer Awareness Game.

Previous Meeting

In a game of runs, Albright ultimately led start-to-finish and held off Arcadia for its first Commonwealth victory of the season on January 25.

The Lions led 18-2 early after five straight points from freshman Jessica Venturelli. They were up 55-39 early in the second half when the Knights ripped off a 13-0 run to get within three points and make things interesting down the stretch.

Junior Kari Ludy was 8-of-13 from the field and scored 21 points, while Meghan Boyle (15 points, 10 rebounds) and Jenny Knoebel (11 points, 12 rebounds, six assists) both had double-doubles for the Lions.

Pink Zone Game

The Lions will be wearing Pink shirts tonight and selling t-shirts to raise money for breast cancer research and the Play 4Kay Initiative.

Named for former North Carolina State coach Kay Yow, Play 4Kay is a global, unified effort for a nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond. The Kay Yow Cancer Fund, in partnership with the WBCA and The V Foundation, is the official Play 4Kay charity.

Albright College Lions (5-18, 1-11 Commonwealth)

Knoebel, a senior, leads the Lions in scoring (10.7 ppg), blocks (20) and steals (34). Freshmen Venturelli (9.3 ppg) and Samantha Martin (2.1 rpg) have appeared in every game this season, along with Knoebel and Boyle.

Arcadia University Knights (3-19, 0-12 Commonwealth)

After missing the first semester, freshman Victoria Roukas has stepped up for the Knights, leading the team in scoring (15.1 ppg) and rebounding (8.0 rpg). Senior Christine Taylor averages 12.4 points and 5.9 rebounds per contest, while point guard Angie Adams averages 11.3 ppg and leads the squad with 47 assists.

Family Connection

Albright freshman Victoria Brito will square off against her twin sister tonight- Arcadia's Veronica Brito. Both saw limited minutes in the previous meeting between the two teams.

Senior Day

Albright's final game of the season will be Saturday, at home to Widener. The Lions will celebrate Senior Day, recognizing Knoebel and classmate Crystal Cline.
