Results
The Albright College men's track and field team is in sixth place overall heading into Saturday's final day of competition, following a successful string of results at the MAC outdoor championships.
Junior
Clark Runciman broke his own school record in the decathlon, scoring 5023 total points and taking third place overall.
Runciman won three of the 10 events, including two on Friday. He took the discus with a toss of 115'01", and also won the javelin (175'07"). He was third in the pole vault (13'11.25").
Fellow junior
Dane Canonico was fourth in the shot put, with a toss of 48'11".
Jordan Gilbert (45'6.25") was sixth and
Steffen Gonzalez (41'4.25") was 13th. Canonico also place sixth in the discus, with a mark of 137'11".
In other field events,
Cameron Blackwell was fourth in the high jump (6'0"), and
Brad Ohlinger was ninth in the triple jump (41'0.5").
Sophomore
Sean Potter had a tough day, missing the finals of both the 100 and 200 meters by the smallest of margins. He was ninth in the 200 and missed the eight-man final by .01 seconds, and also took ninth at 100 meters, missing qualifying by .04 seconds.
Freshman
Jermaine Grey did make the final in the 110 hurdles, taking fifth place in the prelims. Scoring points for Albright was the 4x800 relay team of
George Cook,
Connor Unger,
Sam Marcotte and
Dave Dupre (seventh, 8:49.80).
