Results
The Albright College men's swimming team earned another emphatic victory on Tuesday, defeating Elizabethtown 153.5-51.5.
The Lions went 1-2-3 in the opening 400 medley relay.
Stephen Thomas, Adam Vogel,
Mitch Cain and
Mike McBride led the way in first place.
Ralph Porrazzo,
Tyler Huizing,
Alex Bauer and
Richard Edwards placed second, and
Adam Kurtz,
Sam Rosenthal,
Matt Runtas and
Bobby McNair were third.
Kyle Everson won the 1000 free (10:35.25), and placed second as the Lions swept the 500 free.
Rick Sutton won (5:01.22) and
Rainer Floeter was third.
Porrazzo won a pair of events, beating out Sutton in the 200 free, 1:50.83 to 1:52.69. He also won the 100 free (49.90), with Runtas in second and
Tim Pierce in third.
Pierce won the 50 free (23.44), with McBride in second (23.51). Vogel took the 400 IM (4:30.97) ahead of Rosenthal.
Kurtz won the 100 fly, with a time of 56.25. Thomas placed second (58.81).
In the final 400 free relay, Pierce, Sutton, Floeter and Vogel (3:29.01) just barely out-touched teammates A. Bauer, Edwards,
Sean Yuschovitz and Kurtz (3:29.10).
The Lions (10-2, 8-0) host King's on Saturday and will celebrate Senior Day, where
Matt Bauer,
Quentin Hicks, Kurtz, McNair, Pierce and
Connor Unger will be recognized.
