Results
The Albright College men's swimming team swept a tri-meet against Hood and Ocean County College on Saturday in the Natatorium.
The Lions beat Hood 89-34 and OCC 89-26 to improve to 8-2 overall and 6-0 in the Middle Atlantic Conference. Hood joined the MAC for the first time this season.
The Lions won the 200 medley relay to start things off, with
Adam Kurtz,
Josh Park,
Matt Runtas and
Mike McBride taking first with a time of 1:41.63.
Rainer Floeter won the 1650 free in 18:02.97, while McBride added an individual win in the 100 free (49.66).
Sophomore
Rick Sutton led a pair of 1-2 Albright finishes, taking first place in the 200 free (1:51.02); teammate
Alex Bauer was second.
Sutton later won the 500 free with a time of 5:02.48. Sophomore
Kyle Everson was second, competed against his former Ocean County teammates (he was an NJCAA All-American there).
Sophomore
Josh Park led the way in the 100 breast, winning in 1:04.44. Teammate
Richard Edwards was second.
Albright also went 1-2 in the 200 fly with Kurtz (2:04.75) and Adam Vogel.
Matt Bauer (4:33.47) won the 400 IM, with
Tyler Huizing in second place.
The Lions are back home next Saturday with a meet against Misericordia.
