Field Hockey Hosting Play4theCure Game on Saturday

The Albright College field hockey team will host a "Play4theCure" fundraising event at Saturday's home game vs. Stevenson University.

The Albright and Stevenson Univrsity field hockey teams have joined hands with the National Foundation for Cancer Research to participate in its fundraising campaign entitled "Play4theCure." Sports teams across the country are invited to participate by committing to donate proceeds from at least one game to the National Foundation for Cancer Research.

The Albright and Stevenson teams support the fight against breast cancer by doing what they love, while helping provide the much-needed resources for cancer research.  Together, they strive to make it possible to end this disease that hits so close to home for those affected by breast cancer.

Players on both squads will be wearing pink headbands during the game in support of this cause.

Several pink bins will be circulating throughout the game to collect donations in support of breast cancer research efforts. All proceeds will be donated to the National Foundation for Cancer Research.
