The Albright College men's swimming team set a relay pool record, as part of a 111-89 defeat of Widener on Saturday.
Ralph Porrazzo,
Matt Runtas,
Mike McBride and
Alex Bauer swam 1:26.68 to set a new Albright Natatorium mark in the 200 free relay.
After losing the opening 200 medley relay, the Lions swept the 1000 free, with
Rick Sutton (10:20.58),
Matthew Rein (10:25.07) and
Rainer Floeter (10:47.55).
Albright continued to win freestyle events, with McBride (1:49.43) taking the 200 and Porrazzo (21.86) beating out Runtas at 50 yards.
In the 500 freestyle later on in the meet, Sutton (4:58.84) and Rein (5:03.58) went 1-2.
Runtas took first in the 100 fly (55.32), ahead of teammate
Mitch Cain (56.50). Porrazzo took the 100 back with a time of 53.43.
The Lions improve to 3-0, overall and against MAC competition, and will host Ursinus on Wednesday.
