The Albright College men's swimming team won all but one race and continued to set records, as the Lions defeated Elizabethtown 150-79 on Saturday.
Junior
Rick Sutton lowered his own Albright Natatorium record in the 1650 free, swimming 17:02.40.
The Lions also broke a pool mark in the 400 medley relay.
Ralph Porrazzo,
Ken Richardson,
Alex Bauer and
Mike McBride swam 3:37.58 to break a mark that had stood since January 2004.
Matthew Rein (17:12.59) and
Chris Longworth went 2-3 in the 1650 free, completing one of five Albright sweeps on the day.
In the 200 free, Richardson (1:52.32),
Mitch Cain (1:56.19) and
Stephen Thomas (1:57.34) had the top three times.
Albright followed that up with another 1-2-3 finish, this time in the 100 back, with
Tyler Huizing (1:01.23),
Dan Cahill (1:03.53) and
Sean Yuschovitz (1:03.71).
The Lions swept the 100 fly, led by
Matt Runtas (2:13.40), Bauer (2:18.71) and
Mike Sloboda (2:23.41).
Albright's Richardson (2:22.00),
Sam Rosenthal (2:25.36) and Huizing (2:28.73) did the same in the 200 breast.
Porrazzo (21.89) took first in the 50 free, ahead of teammate
Jake Andryshak (23.36). McBride (51.20) and Runtas (52.93) touched first in the 100 free, while Sutton (2:04.90) and Thomas (2:09.41) led the 200 back.
Albright was swimming exhibitions late, but had the top finishes in the 500 free (Rein), 100 fly (Bauer, 200 IM (Porrazzo) and 400 free relay (Thomas, Sutton, Rein, Runtas).
The Lions conclude the fall semester with a perfect 8-0, 6-0 record, and will resume competition in early January.
