Results
The Albright College men's swimming team won the first four events as the Lions beat hosts Arcadia, 141-92 on Saturday.
Getting the Red and White off to a winning start in the opening 200 medley relay was
Ralph Porrazzo,
Sam Rosenthal,
Mitch Cain and
Richard Edwards.
Albright kept it rolling, with early event wins from
Chris Longworth in the 1000 free,
Rick Sutton in the 200 free and
Stephen Thomas in the 100 back.
After Arcadia took the 100 breast and 100 fly, Albright rebounded with Matthew Runtas in the 50 free (22.63).
Porrazzo touched first in the 200 back (1:57.35), and freshman
Ken Richardson won the 200 breast (2:21.59).
The Lions set a remarkable five pool records in the victory- the 200 medley relay, Sutton in the 200 free (1:49.49), Thomas in the 100 back (58.10), Richardson in the 200 breast and the 200 free relay of
Alex Bauer,
Rainer Floeter,
Jake Andryshak and
Mike McBride (1:32.45).
The Lions stretched their winning streak against Division III competition to 13 with the victory.
Albright improves to 5-0 on the season (4-0 MAC) and will host Messiah College next Saturday at 2 p.m.
