Women's Basketball Game Notes at Keystone (12/16/13)

Full Game Notes

Live Video

Following a weather cancellation this weekend, the Albright College women's basketball team travels to Keystone on Monday evening.

Weekend Schedule Changes

Albright's scheduled Commonwealth Conference game on Saturday in the Bollman Center was postponed, when Messiah couldn't get transportation as snow covered the area. An official makeup date has not yet been finalized.

In anticipation of the weather, Keystone moved its Saturday contest at SUNYIT to Friday afternoon. The Giants took an 84-65 road win to improve to 6-1 on the year.

Series

This will be just the second-ever meeting between Albright and Keystone, following an 88-34 Lion win in Reading during the 2005-06 season.

Jackie Hardwick (the older sister of current Lion junior Allison Hardwick) led Albright in that game with 14 points on 7-of-9 shooting. 13 different Lions scored in the victory.

Albright Lions (4-2)

Albright is 4-2 and 2-1 in the Commonwealth after victories over Arcadia and cross-town rival Alvernia.

Defending regional Rookie of the Year Kelecia Harris is averaging 16.3 points and 9.2 rebounds over just 23.5 minutes per game. The Lions have been solid in the post, with sophomore Emily O'Donnell totaling 8.8 ppg and senior Meghan Boyle chipping in with 8.5 ppg and 5.3 rpg.

Keystone College Giants (6-1)

Despite having just 11 players and one coach on the roster the Giants are off to a 6-1 start this season, after a CSAC semifinal appearance in 2012-13.

The Giants are averaging 84.3 points per game, led by five players in double-figures. Junior Chantel Blake (14.7 ppg) leads the way, along with freshman AAliya Hayes (14.3 ppg). Junior point guard Jazmyn Robinson is totaling 14.4 points and an impressive 7.4 assists per contest.

Keystone has hit 100 points in two games this season, and has won 11 of its last 13 games dating back to late last season.
