The Albright College field hockey team fell 3-0 to Delaware Valley, Thursday in Doylestown, Pa.

The Lions put six shots on frame but were held scoreless again, while their senior goalie Marguerite DeLucas made eight saves.

Taylor Prichett gave DVC the lead less than a minute before halftime, after an evenly matched opening period.

Stefania Swider deflected Jessica Summers' shot up in the upper netting to make it 2-0, before Prichett added the third late in the contest.

The Lions had several good chances throughout the match, none better than with 11 minutes remaining in the game. Still trailing just 2-0, senior Chelsea Klein had a penalty stroke but Sandra Edwards made a fantastic save.

Klein was also stopped early in the game by Edwards. Junior Sarah Barr had a good chance soon after, but Lydia Spakosky came up with a defensive save.

The Lions are 2-5 overall and will host Wilkes University on Wednesday.
