Albright looks to extend its five-game winning streak with a trip to Hood on Wednesday.

Series

Albright holds a 2-1 mark against Hood, who just joined the Commonwealth Conference last season. The Lions defeated Hood in 2004-05 before splitting two league games last year.

Previous Meeting

Hood dealt a late season blow to Albright, who would eventually be one of the first teams left out by the NCAA selection committee. After the first regional rankings of the year had the Lions second in the Mid-Atlantic Region, Hood dealt the Red and White a 70-60 setback in Frederick, Md.

The Lions made just 1-of-23 three-point attempts (4.3%) in the loss, and shot 32.2% overall from the field. Pedro Perez had 15 points, six rebounds and three steals, but went just 1-of-10 from behind the arc.

Game Coverage

Albright will be unable to provide its usual online audio with Bob McCool for tonight's away game. However, Hood will have video streaming at: http://hood.ezstream.com/, and LiveStats will also be online at: http://livestats.prestosports.com/hood/.

Albright College Lions (8-5, 4-2)

The Lions won their fifth straight, and third straight Commonwealth game, with a 73-66 road win at Elizabethtown this weekend.

Freshman Sameen Swint had a game-high 23 points and made all three shots from behind the arc. Sophomore Evan Ward had a career-high 15 rebounds and just missed a double-double with nine points.

Hood College Blazers (9-4, 3-3)

The Blazers, who have only two losing seasons in their 10-year history, are 9-4 on the season and sit one game behind Albright in the Commonwealth standings.

Senior Cameron Cook, a former All-Commonwealth and All-CAC selection, leads Hood in scoring with 14.4 ppg. Junior Chris Cook is in double-figures with 12.5 ppg.

Pearsall To Be Honored on Saturday

Albright's all-time leading scorer, Tom Pearsall, will be honored at halftime of Saturday's game vs. Lebanon Valley following his selection to the second induction class of the Middle Atlantic Conference Hall of Fame. The men will play before the women at 2 p.m.

Pearsall is the only multiple-time All-American in Albright basketball history, earning those honors three years in a row. He was an honorable mention Associated Press Little All-America selection in 1961 and 1963; Pearsall was a third team United Press International Small College All-American in 1961, and a second team selection in 1962 and 1963.

Pearsall is Albright's all-time leading scorer with 2164 points; he led the Lions in scoring for each of his four seasons and had a career average of 20.2 ppg.
