The Albright College women's basketball team hits the road for a 3 p.m. showdown with the Messiah Falcons.

Commonwealth Conference Standings

The Lions are currently tied with Widener for the fifth playoff spot, with a conference record of 5-6. At 8-3 in the conference, Messiah is tied for the second seed in the Commonwealth Conference playoffs.

Previous Meeting

The Albright College women's basketball team saw its five-game win streak end in a tight 65-59 loss to Messiah earlier this season.

After Shannon Thomas was fouled on a fast break and made one free throw to give Albright a 56-55 lead with 3:42 left, Messiah answered with a 6-0 run on six free throws.

Albright leading scorer and rebounder Kelecia Harris also fouled out during that stretch.

Albright College Lions (11-7, 5-6)

The Albright College women's basketball team erased a second straight double-digit deficit, but couldn't hold on in the extra period of a 66-64 loss at Arcadia.

For the second straight game, Amanda Tiritilli helped Albright eliminate a late deficit from behind the arc, finishing with nine points on three triples. Senior Meghan Boyle had 10 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks, while Shannon Thomas added a team-high 11 points and three steals.

Kelecia Harris leads the Lions in points (15.3 ppg), rebounds (9.1 rpg), and blocks (44).

Messiah College Falcons (12-6, 8-3)

Messiah College overcame a 41-24 second-half deficit to defeat Elizabethtown 59-58 on Wednesday.

The Falcons are led by freshman forward Gillian Glackin (12.7 ppg, 8.7 rpg, 49 blocks) and senior guard Chelsea Danel (12.2 ppg, 73 assists, and 43 steals.
