HERSHEY, Pa. -- Albright College's Chad Bomgardner continued his outstanding freshman season by winning the title at the Penn State-Harrisburg Invitational on Friday at Serb Park.

Bomgardner, who has been the Lions top finisher in every meet this season, completed the 8k course in a time of 27:49.8 to finish ahead of Peter Merkel of McDaniel who placed second in 28:09.6.

Trey Thatcher and Malik Sylla turned in top-20 finishes for Albright. Thatcher completed the course in 30:28.0 which was good for 13th place overall and Sylla was 18th in a time of 31:30.8.
