READING, Pa. -- The Albright College men's tennis team extended its current winning streak to six straight with a 9-0 sweep of Eastern on Thursday at the Albright Tennis Courts.

The six-match winning streak is the longest in Albright history since the 2003 team also won six straight as did the 2002 Lion team.

The Lions concluded the fall portion of their schedule with the victory over Eastern and won't return to team play until visiting Washington (Md.) in March.

On Thursday, Matt Muoio and Evan Cuff both wrapped up undefeated fall seasons with victories. Muoio defeated Grant Williams 6-0, 6-7 (5), 10-5 at No. 1 singles, while Cuff topped Mitchell Weaver 6-1, 5-7, 10-7 at No. 4 singles.

Freshman Ian Goodwillie completed the fall with a 6-1 singles record as he cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Tyler Schultz at No. 2 singles.

Ken Richardson defeated Kyle Berner 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles, Sean Purcell defeated Justin Halog 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5 singles and Thomas Werner topped John Anchundia 6-0, 6-2 at No. 6 singles.

Goodwillie and Muoio completed an undefeated fall season in doubles with an 8-0 victory over Williams and Weaver at No. 1 doubles. Richardson and Purcell defeated Schultz and Berner, while Werner and Terrence Goode defeated Halog and Anchundia.

Albright will compete in the Middle Atlantic Conference Individual Championships this weekend in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
