The Lady Lions continue a rivalry week, following up a home win over Alvernia with a trip to Lebanon Valley on Saturday.

Commonwealth Standings

Albright (6-7) is currently in a three-way tie for the fifth and final Commonwealth playoff spot with Widener and Lycoming, after Widener earned an upset victory over Stevenson.

Messiah has edged into first place at 10-3, while Lebanon Valley and Elizabethtown (9-3 each) had midweek games rescheduled due to inclement weather.

Albright is 1-0 against Lycoming and 1-1 vs. Widener should tiebreakers come into play. The Lions do not have a win against a top-four team yet, which affect tiebreakers if head-to-head records are even. Albright gets another chance this weekend.

Previous Meeting

Kelecia Harris had just four points on 1-of-4 shooting, as the Lions' top weapon was held to 19 minutes due to foul trouble in a 74-64 decision for #22 Lebanon Valley last month.

Sophomore Kadijah Bishop had a double-double for Albright, leading the team in points (13) and rebounds (10). Emily O'Donnell had another good game for the Lions, contributing with 13 points and seven rebounds. Junior Amanda Tiritilli was 3-for-4 from beyond the arc.

Kiely Chaklos led the way for the Dutchmen with 18 points, three rebounds, two steals, and two assists. Guard Taylor Umbrell scored 11 points and collected four rebounds. Sophomore guards Bridget Rothert and Peyton Carper each added 10 points.

Albright College Lions (12-8, 6-7)

Albright defeated rival Alvernia 75-59 on Wednesday at home.  Harris made 10-of-15 field goals for 24 points and added nine rebounds, five blocks and three assists. Junior Jessica Venturelli sank all three attempts behind the arc and 5-of-7 shots overall for 15 points. Senior Kristi McFadden filled the box score with 10 points, eight rebounds, five assists and two steals. Bishop added 10 points, five boards and also five assists from the post.

With Alvernia coming back into the game late, Venturelli and Thomas sank three pointers to keep the Crusaders at bay.

Lebanon Valley College Dutchmen (15-4, 9-3)

This will be first meeting between these teams in which LVC is not nationally ranked by D3hoops.com or the WBCA since January 23, 2010. The Lions also faced the Dutchmen in the Commonwealth semifinals in their last two playoff appearances (2008, 2009).

Senior Caitlin Bach scored her 1000th career point last Saturday in a 48-46 loss to Elizabethtown, totaling nine on the day. She also has 870 career rebounds heading into this game. Chaklos is scoring in double-figures (10.2 ppg) and has 31 assists.
