Trailing 16-15 with 10 minutes to play after conceding six straight goals, sophomore
Katie Johnson scored twice to retake the lead.
Giuliana Rizzotti and

Emily Hutson made a huge save on
Melina Juliano (4G, 3A) with 1:41 to play that prevented the teams from going back to the draw separated by just one point.
It was a game of runs, as Albright scored four straight on four different occasions throughout the game. For their part, the Cougars had streaks of six, five and three goals.
Rizzotti finished with eight points on four goals and assists each. Johnson and
Tori Meyer each added four goals and one assist. Sophomores Farrell and

Smith (10 draw controls) and
Meghan Wilson (eight draw controls) played a huge role as the Lions controlled 22-of-37 draws. Defender
Brianna McCormick caused two turnovers and picked up four ground balls.
Albright looked in control early in each half. Meyer and Giuliano gave the hosts a 2-0 lead before Misericordia had even touched the ball, with the Cougars finally gaining possession and scoring after Meyer's free position shot was saved.
Rizzotti and
Rebecca Sartorio quickly scored to make it 5-1 after less than five minutes played. In the 11th minute,
Lexi Garapola raced in unguarded after a yellow card cleared and took a pass from Johnson for a 7-2 lead.
Misercordia rallied later in the period, as
Kate Pagnotta (3G, 1A) scored her 100th career goal and added another 25 seconds later to cut the gap to 7-5. MU scored the final five of the first half, including
Emily Hegner's shot at the buzzer, to trail just 12-11 at the break.
Albright started strong again in the second half. Smith won the draw and scored after a great fake 16 seconds in, followed by free position goals from Johnson and Farrell. Meyer finished off a nice pass from Rizzotti to make it 15-10 with 27:30 to play.
Juliano dragged Misericordia back into the game, knocking in her own rebound to make it 15-13. A Juliano free position shot was later waived off, but she soon tied the game at 15-15 with 12:18 to play.
Albright improves to 5-4 and will host Muhlenberg on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
