Sartorio Scores Twice in Women's Soccer Victory

READING, Pa. -- Rebecca Sartorio scored two goals leading the Albright women's soccer team to a 4-2 non-conference victory over visiting Ursinus on Saturday at Shirk Stadium.

Sartorio, who now has three goals on the season, scored once in each half to pace the Lions offensive attack. She got Albright on the board early in the match when she scored at the 9:49 mark of the first half off an assist from Emily Sousa for a 1-0 Lion lead.

Ursinus tied the match at 1-1 when Jeannie Jasinski scored unassisted at the 42:57 mark of the opening half.

Sousa, who also had two assists, scored unassisted to put Albright ahead to stay at the 46:57 mark of the match. Sartorio followed with her second goal of the match only 33 seconds later off another Sousa assist to put Albright ahead 3-1.

The Lions stretched the lead to 4-1 when Ursinus scored an own goal. Jasinski added her second goal of the match at the 85:15 mark of the match to trim the lead to 4-2.

Jaymee Stepp picked up her first victory of the season in goal as she made two saves on the evening.

Albright improved to 2-3 on the season, while Ursinus dropped to 1-4 overall.

Albright returns to action on Sept. 17 when it hosts Goucher at 7 p.m. in Shirk Stadium.
