READING, Pa. -- Ian Goodwillie, Matt Muoio, Ken Richardson and Evan Cuff all recorded singles victories for Albright and the Lions defeated Penn State Abington 5-4 on Tuesday to record their first victory of the season.

Albright, which improved to 1-1 on the season, had several outstanding performances on the afternoon including three-set victories by Richardson and Cuff but Goodwillie may have had the Lions top performance. The freshman gutted out a three-set victory over Mohammed Ammouni at No. 1 singles despite Ammouni stopping because of cramping several times during the match and eventually retiring due to injury to clinch the win for Albright.

Richardson won a closely contested 6-4, 1-6, 7-6 (7-2) decision over Justin McNab at No. 3 singles, while Cuff beat Sam Borai 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 at No. 4 singles.

Matthew Muoio also won in singles action for the Lions as he defeated Mike Herman at No. 2 singles 6-4, 6-3 in straight sets.

Goodwillie and Muoio posted the lone doubles victory for Albright as they defeated Ammouni and McNab 8-4.
