ST. DAVIDS, Pa. --
Austin Phillips scored the game-winning goal midway through the second half and the Albright College men's soccer team rallied to defeat Eastern in a non-conference match on Saturday at Olson Field.
Phillips scored the game-winning goal off an assist from
Shawn Murphy at the 55:10 mark of the second half and helped the Lions overcome an early 1-0 deficit.
Eastern, which dropped to 6-2 overall on the season, took a 1-0 lead when Josh Cirocco scored on a sliding shot at the 16:47 mark of the first half.
Albright tied the score at 1-1 when
Andrew Sussingham scored on a throw by
Vitali Zaluha at the 47:14 mark of the match.
Phillips then scored his fourth goal of the season giving the Lions their third victory in the last four matches and improving their record to 5-4-1 overall.
Austin Aldinger picked up the victory in goal for Albright as he made four saves and allowed just the one goal.
