READING, Pa. -- Freshman Evan Cuff outlasted Karim Fahwy 6-4, 6-4 at No. 4 singles lifting the Albright College men's tennis team to a tough 5-4 victory over Penn State Harrisburg on Tuesday at the Albright Tennis Courts.

Battling darkness, Cuff fought off a stiff challenge from Fahwy to clinch the victory for the Lions. With the win, Cuff remained perfect in singles play this season as he raised his record to 4-0.

This was a significant victory for Albright as it lost to Penn State Harrisburg 9-0 last season and didn't win a single set. Tuesday was much different for the improved Lions as they got singles victories from Ian Goodwillie, Matthew Muoio and Ken Richardson in addition to the win by Cuff.

Goodwillie defeated Johnny Xue 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, Muoio beat Chris Magee 6-1, 6-2 in No. 2 singles play and Richardson topped Victor Costa 6-4, 6-2 at No. 3 singles.

Goodwillie and Muoio earned the Lions other victory on the evening as they defeated Tyler Cook and Magee 8-5 at No. 1 doubles.
