Men's Soccer Suffers First Loss of Season to Johns Hopkins 4-0

READING, Pa. -- The Albright College men's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season on Sunday as it dropped a 4-0 decision to Johns Hopkins at Shirk Stadium.

After beginning the season 2-0-1, Albright tasted defeat for the first time in 2014 on Sunday. Kotaro Mitsuhashi had two goals and an assist to lead the way for the Blue Jays.

Johns Hopkins, which improved to 3-0-1 on the year, outshot the Lions 20-10 and put seven shots on net.

The Blue Jays took a 1-0 lead at the 1:06 mark of the first half when Rob Heuler headed in a corner kick from Mitsuhashi.

Mitsuhashi scored the next two goals for Johns Hopkins and Mark Spencer tallied the final goal.

Vitali Zaluha led Albright with four shots, while Diego Mendez had two shots one of which rung the post.

Albright returns to action on Saturday (Sept. 13) when it hosts Washington College (Md.) at 8 p.m. in Shirk Stadium.
