KUTZTOWN, Pa. -- Freshman
Claudia Guise had six kills and 11 assists, but Kutztown defeated the Albright volleyball team 25-8, 25-11, 25-20 on Monday at Keystone Arena.
Guise, the Lions starting setter, also had six digs, a service ace and a .667 hitting percentage to pace the Albright attack.
Brandy Blimline had five kills and seven digs, while
Marisa Bartone and
Kellie Hill each added three kills apiece.
Caitlin Klotzbach had a match-high 12 digs for the Lions.
The victory by Kutztown snapped a two-match winning streak for Albright. The Lions had defeated Rutgers-Camden and Penn State-Brandywine in their previous two matches.
Kutztown hit .348 for the match and was led by Audrey Stringer who had eight kills and posted an .800 attack percentage.
Kutztown improved to 4-1 overall on the season, while Albright slipped to 2-4.
