WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- The Albright men's soccer team was unable to get its offense untracked as it lost to Lycoming 4-0 in the MAC Commonwealth opener for both schools on Saturday at the Shangraw Complex.
Lycoming, which improved to 8-1-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play, held a dominant 24-3 advantage in shots and the Lions were unable to get a shot in the second period.
Jordan Logan tallied a hat trick to pace the Warriors. He scored the first three goals of the match, including a pair of headers.
Sainclair Tueno added an unassisted goal in the 86th minute to cap the scoring.
Peter Bockarie,
Nathan Hughes and
Andrew Sussingham recorded one shot each for the Lions. Sussingham had the only shot on goal for Albright.
Josh Gildea made one save in net for Lycoming to earn the win, while
Austin Aldinger made seven stops for the Lions.
Logan got Lycoming on the board at the 26:38 mark of the first period when he headed in a free kick for a 1-0 Warrior lead.
He pushed the lead to 2-0 when he scored 1:18 later on a shot which beat Aldinger.
Logan then completed the hat trick with a goal in the 64th minute when he headed in pass from Kyle Thomas.
Albright, which dropped to 1-8-1 on the season, will resume action on Tuesday (Oct. 6) when it hosts Widener at 7 p.m. in Shirk Stadium.
