READING, Pa. -- The Albright men's soccer team dropped its MAC Commonwealth home opener to Widener by a score of 7-0 on Tuesday at Shirk Stadium.
Kevin McKenna, Dyla Pratzner and Kyle Lynch each tallied two goals for the Pride. Tori Remondelli added a goal and an assist as Widener notched its first conference victory of the season.
Widener, which improved to 5-6-1 overall and 1-1 in league play, came out strong in the first period and raced out to a 4-0 lead.
McKenna scored the Pride's first goal of the match at the 19:34 mark off an assist by Malik Krcic.
Widener then took control of the match by scoring three goals in a span of 3:59 of the first period.
Remondelli upped the lead to 2-0 on a penalty kick at the 40:37 mark of the first period, and Pratzner scored back-to-back goals at 41:23 and 44:36 to give the Pride a 4-0 lead at the intermission.
McKenna tallied his second goal of the match at the 66:12 mark to push the lead to 5-0. Lynch then added a pair of goals for the Pride to cap the scoring.
David Sousa picked up the shutout for the Pride in goal as he made two saves on the night.
Albright, which fell to 1-9-1 overall and 0-2 in conference play, mustered only three shots for the match.

Sorosh Tourzani each notched a shot for the Lions.
Austin Aldinger made eight saves in goal for Albright and faced 20 total shots.
Albright returns to action on Saturday (Oct. 10) when it hosts Hood in a MAC Commonwealth match at 8 p.m. at Shirk Stadium.
