READING, Pa. -- The Albright men's swim team showed off its depth on Saturday as five different swimmers combined to win nine events leading the Lions to a 139-122 victory over Messiah on Saturday in the Albright Natatorium.

Brendan Mackey-Wood, Ken Richardson, Tyler Chamberlin and Matt Runtas each won two events, while Jay Deschamps also claimed a top finish for the Lions.

Mackey-Wood dominated the distance events as he won both the 1000 and 500 freestyle events. He placed first in the 1000 freestyle in 10:30.87 and finished first in the 500 freestyle in 5:01.53.

Richardson captured first place in both the 200 freestyle and the 200 IM. He finished the 200 free in 1:48.58 and captured the top spot in the 200 IM in a time of 2:00.34, which was almost seven seconds faster than any Messiah competitor.

Chamberlin captured first place in both breaststroke events. He won the 100 breast in 1:03.65 and came back to win the 200 breast in 2:23.81.

Runtas posted first-place finishes in the 50 freestyle and the 100 butterfly. He touched the wall in 22.12 in the 50 free and earned first place in the 100 fly in a time of 55.50.

Deschamps was victorious in the 100 freestyle as he completed the sprint in 50.17.

The Lions also received a first-place finish from the 400 medley relay team of Sean Riddle, Chamberlin, Mitch Cain and Runtas as the turned in a time of 3:43.69.
