READING, Pa. – Senior
Philip Potter scored with 5.3 seconds remaining in regulation lifting Albright to a 9-8 non-conference victory over 18
th-ranked Franklin & Marshall on Saturday at Schlager Memorial Field on the campus of Alvernia.
Franklin & Marshall knotted the game at 8-8 on a goal by Ben Ross with 1:06 to play.
Darian Meador won the ensuing faceoff and
Mike Southwick picked up the ground ball for the Lions. Albright worked the ball to Potter who scored with 5.3 seconds left to play giving the Lions the dramatic victory.
Potter finished with a team-high four goals to lead the Lions to their first-ever victory over the Diplomats. He also added two assists to finish with six points for the game.

James Egleston each added a goal for Albright.
Senior
Nicholas Pisko earned the win in goal for the Lions and made several outstanding saves. He finished with 10 saves to improve to 4-1 on the season.
Read Ziegler had three goals to lead Franklin & Marshall, while Ross finished with a pair of goals. Chad Gamble, Sean Rogers and Sean Brown also had goals for the Diplomats.
Albright extended its winning streak to three straight and improved to 4-1 overall, while Franklin & Marshall dropped to 2-3 on the season.
Albright, which never trailed in the game, jumped out to an early lead against the Diplomats.
Holston got the Lions on the scoreboard with a goal at the 13:35 mark of the first period.
Potter increased the lead to 3-0 with back-to-back goals with 11:29 remaining in the first period.
F&M got goals from Gamble and Ziegler to cut the Albright lead to 3-2 with 4:02 to play in the opening stanza.
Smith scored an unassisted goal with 13 seconds to play giving Albright a 4-2 lead after the first period.
Rogers brought the Diplomats to within 4-3 with a goal at the 8:20 mark of the second period, but Egleston answered for Albright to push the lead to 5-3 with 2:53 left in the second period.
Brown scored an unassisted goal with 1:31 before halftime to trim the Albright lead to 5-4 at the break.
Ross tied the game for Franklin & Marshall with a goal at the 13:47 mark of the third period.
Turner put Albright back in front at 6-5 as he found the back of the net off a feed from Potter with 5:54 to play in the third.
Ziegler countered with a goal with one second to play in the third for F&M to tie the score at 6-6 heading into the fourth period.
Potter and Cetrone scored back-to-back goals giving Albright an 8-6 lead with 4:58 to play in the fourth.
Ziegler brought the Diplomats to within 8-7 on a goal with 3:45 left and Ross tied the game with his goal to set the stage for the dramatic conclusion authored by Potter.
