Holston Ties Career High With Six Goals in Win over Stockton

READING, Pa. – Senior T.J. Holston tied his career high with six goals and added two assists and Albright used a dominant third period to defeat Stockton 11-6 on Saturday at John Gurski Stadium.

Holston's six goals were just one shy of the Albright record of seven held by Ryan Turner, while his eight points was one short of his own school record of nine points he scored against Stockton in 2013. Holston tied his career high of six goals he scored versus Alvernia in 2013.

Albright, which extended its winning streak to five straight, trailed Stockton 4-3 at halftime. The Lions outscored the Ospreys 5-0 in the decisive third period led by three goals from Holston.

Holston opened the second half with back-to-back goals to give Albright a 5-4 lead with 5:49 to play in the third.

Cam Cetrone, who netted three goals on the day, upped the lead to 6-4 on a goal off of a feed from Mike Southwick with 4:50 to play in the third period.

Holton scored his third goal of the period on a helper from Philip Potter to increase the Lion lead to 7-4 with 2:27 to play in the third.

Cetrone then scored 14 seconds later on an assist from Holston to bump the Albright lead to 8-4 at the 2:13 mark of the third.

Stockton, which suffered its first loss of the season, got back into the game with back-to-back goals from Vincent Manasia and Guy Loggi. The two goals trimmed the Lions lead to 8-6 with 10:58 left in the game.

Holston then iced the game for the Lions as he scored back-to-back goals giving Albright a 10-6 lead with 5:47 to play in the contest.

Matthew Lomady scored off an assist from Bryan Smith to cap the scoring for the Lions at the 4:18 mark of the fourth period.

Albright, which improved to 6-1 on the season, outscored the Ospreys 8-2 after halftime. Stockton dropped to 6-1 overall with the loss.

Andrew Potter also notched a goal for the Lions, while Philip Potter had four assists.

Nicholas Pisko had seven saves in goal for Albright and improved to 6-1 on the season.

Albright will return to action on March 28 when it visits Stevenson in a Commonwealth Conference contest.
