GRANTHAM, Pa. – Sophomore Matthew Muoio posted a win at No. 1 singles, but Messiah defeated the Lions 7-2 in a Commonwealth Conference match on Saturday.

Muoio defeated Mike Brookhart 6-3, 6-7 (7), 7-5 in a tightly contested match at No. 1 singles. It marked the 10^th victory of the season for Muoio, which ties him with Evan Cuff for the most singles victories on the team.

Albright also received a doubles win from Ken Richardson and Sean Purcell. The team of Richardson and Purcell defeated Peter Shuck and Mike Kovacs 8-6 at No. 2 doubles.

Messiah improved to 2-6 overall and 2-0 in Commonwealth Conference play, while Albright dropped to 8-5 on the season and 1-1 in league play.

Albright will host Stevenson on Sunday (April 12) at 11 a.m. at the Albright Tennis Courts.
