FREDERICK, Md. – Matthew Muoio, Ken Richardson, Evan Cuff and Sean Purcell each won a singles and doubles match leading the Albright men's tennis team to a 6-3 victory over Hood in the Lions Commonwealth Conference opener on Thursday at the Hood Tennis Complex.

Muoio defeated Vladislav Sluchenkov 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 singles and paired with Cuff to defeat Alex Sexton and Joshua Sexton 8-1 at No. 1 doubles play.

Richardson rallied to defeat Joshua Sexton 3-6, 7-5, 10-8 at No. 2 singles and then teamed with Purcell to beat Sluchenkov and Richard Hershey 8-2 in No. 2 doubles play.

Purcell beat Philip Roedig 6-0, 6-2 at No. 4 singles.

Albright won its second straight match and improved to 8-4 overall and 1-0 in the Commonwealth Conference. Hood dropped to 3-6 on the season and 1-1 in league play.
