ABINGTON, Pa. -- Albright junior
Ken Richardson claimed a singles victory, but the Albright men's tennis team lost to Penn State Abington 8-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Richardson recorded the Lions only victory of the day at No. 2 singles. He rallied to defeat Monte Dunson 6-7, 6-0, 10-5 in a thrilling match.
Sean Purcell lost a close decision to James Humes at No. 4 singles by a score of 2-6, 6-2, 10-6.
Richardson and Purcell also paired together and lost at No. 2 doubles 9-8 in a tiebreaker to Dunson and James Humes.
Albright fell to 0-2 on the season with the loss.
