YORK, Pa. -- Sophomore
Maddy Greth recorded 15 kills, but the Albright volleyball team lost to King's 25-18, 25-23, 23-25, 25-19 in the Lions opening match of the York Spartan Invitational on Friday.
Greth fell one kill short of tying her season high of 16 kills, which she had against Penn State Mont Alto. She had only four errors in 33 attempts to finish with a .333 attack percentage. She also added eight digs and two service aces for the Lions.
Freshman
Katie Schmerse added a career-high nine kills for Albright, while sophomore
Kellie Hill had seven kills.
Jill Korgeski notched 21 kills to lead King's, while Rachel Miller added 17 kills and Katelyn Shifflet had 10 kills.
After dropping the first two sets Albright bounced back to post a 25-23 win in the third set. King's came back to win the fourth set 25-19 to clinch the victory.

Becca Davis tied her career high with 19 digs to pace the Lions. She also had 19 digs in the match versus Alvernia. The Lions also received 30 assists and six digs from
Claudia Guise.
