READING, Pa. – Kennedy Lutz and Emily Sousa notched goals in the second half to lead the Albright women's soccer team to a 2-0 win against FDU-Florham under rainy conditions from Shirk Stadium Tuesday evening.

It marked the second straight victory for the Lions and improved their record to 3-1-1 at Shirk Stadium this season. During its two-match winning streak the Lions have outscored their opponents 6-0.

Albright, which improved to 4-4-2 on the season, dominated play in the second period. The Lions had nine shots and 10 corner kicks in the second period and finally broke though when Lutz took advantage of an FDU-Florham mistake.

Lutz tallied the first goal of the match in the 73rd minute to give the Lions a 1-0 edge, She took an errant FDU-Florham pass and blasted it past the keeper in the lower left corner of the net to score her second goal of the season.

Sousa, the reigning MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week, scored her sixth goal of the season with 81:53 showing on the clock to give the Lions to a 2-0 lead.

With the goal, Sousa extended her goal-scoring streak to four straight and her point streak to five straight. Her six goals leads the team as does her 15 points.
