READING, Pa. – The Albright men's swim team celebrated Senior Day on Saturday against Ursinus as Mitch Cain, Matt Runtas and Sean Yuschovitz each made their final home appearances in the Albright Natatorium.
 
The trio has helped lead Albright to four consecutive Middle Atlantic Conference Championships and a 22-1 record in home meets over the last four seasons.
 
Albright suffered its first home loss of the year on Saturday as the Bears defeated the Lions 117-88.
 
Cain competed in the 400 medley relay, 100 butterfly and the 200 freestyle relay in his last home meet. He finished fifth in the butterfly in 55.75, while the 400 medley relay placed fourth and the 200 freestyle relay finished fourth.
 
Runtas went out on a strong note as he won the 100 butterfly in 54.22, swam a leg on the Lions victorious 400 medley relay team and also swam a leg on the Lions 200 freestyle relay team that placed second.
 
Yuschovitz competed in the 400 medley relay, the 1650 freestyle and the 100 backstroke. He placed fifth in the 1650 freestyle in 18:17.34, finished fifth in the 100 backstroke in a career-best time of 59.35 and swam a leg on the relay team that finished fourth overall.
 
Freshman Jay Deschamps recorded a pair of first-place finishes to lead the Lions. He was first in the 50 freestyle in 22.20 and also placed first in the 100 freestyle in 48.83. He also swam a leg on the Lions victorious 400 medley relay team.
 
Ken Richardson placed first in the 200 freestyle and also swam a leg on the Lions 400 medley relay team which finished first. He completed the 200 freestyle in a time of 1:47.60.
 
Tyler Chamberlin also notched a first-place finish for the Lions as he won the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:01.09.
 
Albright will next participate in the MAC Championships in York, Pa., on Feb. 11-14. The Lions have won five consecutive conference titles.
